Antonio and Stefano’s wedding was an emotional and deeply meaningful celebration of love, destiny, and connection, set in the heart of Paris. Their civil ceremony took place at the Mairie du 6ᵉ Arrondissement, on Place Saint-Sulpice, a location steeped in history and quiet Parisian elegance. From the very first moment, the atmosphere felt extraordinary — intimate, sincere, and charged with emotion, as two remarkable souls finally came together. The ceremony reached a powerful emotional peak with a speech written and read especially for the couple by Paolo Giordano, acclaimed Italian writer and winner of the Premio Strega and Premio Campiello. His words told the story of Antonio and Stefano’s almost unbelievable journey — a love marked by coincidence, long unconscious waiting, separation, and reunion — leaving the entire room in tears. It was a rare moment where two lives, two worlds, and many years of invisible threads aligned perfectly, reminding everyone present that destiny sometimes works quietly, but precisely.
This wedding holds a special place in our hearts: it was published in Vogue Italia and Vogue Netherlands, and it marked the first Vogue publication for Phlox, making it an unforgettable milestone for us as storytellers.
On the morning of June 7, Antonio and Stefano were married in an intimate civil ceremony at the Mairie du 6ᵉ Arrondissement, overlooking Place Saint-Sulpice in Paris. After the ceremony, the couple and their guests gathered just steps away at Au Vieux Colombier, a charming café reserved exclusively for the occasion. Hosted by the incredibly welcoming owner Geoffrey, guests enjoyed cappuccinos, champagne, croissants, and chocolate pastries, accompanied by live jazz music performed by two musicians discovered and invited only the night before. The atmosphere was joyful, relaxed, and effortlessly Parisian.
Later that day, the celebration continued at Château de Breteuil, a historic French national monument located about 50 minutes from Paris, once owned by a minister of Louis XVI and still belonging to the Marquis de Breteuil family. Guests were welcomed in the gardens near the grand fountain with passing appetizers and a live performance by Max Sakolinski.
Dinner was served inside the château, in the Grande Galerie and the Salon des Quatre Saisons, where long imperial tables were set with candles and wildflowers, creating a single shared experience for all guests. As a meaningful and unconventional wedding favor, each guest received a copy of Supplemento al Dizionario Italiano by Bruno Munari, placed at their table as a lasting memory of “an Italian Saturday among friends, in Paris.” The evening concluded with dancing in the magnificent Salon Doré, beneath chandeliers, historic paintings, and marble busts. With music curated by Max Sakolinski, laughter, embraces, and celebration filled the space late into the night — a powerful ending to a day defined by love, beauty, order, and the rare feeling of having truly waited for one another. A true reminder that you just have to believe in destiny.
